“She had pneumonia, was severely anaemic, and was taking medicine,” stated Coroner Assistant Chief Ed Winter at the time. “All of these factors contributed to her death.”

The acts of Sharon Murphy must be clarified, as she has mostly concealed them from public view.

Brittany’s father, Angelo Bertolotti, made news following her death when he sued the Los Angeles County Coroner’s office for access to Brittany’s hair samples so that they might be examined for toxins.

Eventually, Bertolotti’s request was granted, but the results of the tests did not support his assumption that Brittany had been poisoned.

Who Was Simon Monjack, Brittany Murphy’s Husband?

From 2007 until her untimely death in 2009, she was married to the playwright and director Simon Monjack.

Born in England, Simon Monjack had a successful career as a screenwriter and director in the country. In 2005, he met Brittany Murphy, and in 2007, he married her.

Monjack was widely regarded as a contentious figure, and his relationship with Murphy was subject to intense media scrutiny. He was accused of benefitting from Murphy’s success through freelance work.
