Top Ten Most Powerful Demon Slayer Characters

All the demons and demon slayers from the manga and anime of Kimetsu no Yaiba: Demon Slayer. Warning: spoilers ahead; read at your own peril.

10) Muichiro Tokito

Muichiro Tokito, the youngest Hashira and renowned child prodigy, is the first on our list. After only two months of training, Muichiro attained the rank of Hashira and can easily defeat other formidable Hashira such as Genya.

Muichiro is deserving of inclusion on this list as the one who killed upper moon 5 Gyokko single-handedly.

9) Giyu Tomioka

The current water Hashira of the demon slayer corps is Giyu Tomioka. Our stoic but gentle Hashira is not to be underestimated; he killed lower moon 5 Rui with the ease of squatting a bug, can go toe-to-toe with Akaza, who is an upper-rank number, is praised by Azaka for being the most powerful water Hashira he has ever fought against, and can stall Muzan on his own for a respectable amount of time.

8) Sanemi Shinazugawa

Sanemi is the current wind Hashira of the demon slayers corps and was rumoured to be able to spar with Giyu to a draw, thus why did we rank him higher than Giyu?

Even with the assistance of Giyu and Muchiro, my guy put up a hell of a fight against the strongest demon under Muzan, Upper rank one Kokushibo, given that he engaged in a head-to-head battle with him.

7) Akaza

Akaza is our favourite nemesis in demon slayer, and it was wonderful to see him brought to life with his own epic OST. Akaza, ranked third among the higher moons, is a formidable opponent.

He killed Kyojuro Rengoku in battle, and it took Giyu and Tanjiro to kill Akaza, but Akaza killed himself when he recalled his memories of his former human life following Tanjiro’s fatal blow.

6) Tanjiro Kamado

Tanjiro is the true protagonist of demon slayer, as he is the one who struck the fatal blow to the demon king after beginning as a simple coal burner.

Tanjiro was able to stand with his peers in the demon slayer corps and nearly killed Giyu, the water Hashira, as a result of his rigorous training during the Hashira training arc.

Tanjiro ushered in a new era for the demon slayer corps and Hashira by revealing the secrets of the demon slayer mark and defeating Muzan using the sword and breathing skills of the first demon slayer.

5) Doma

Doma is higher moon two and the demon responsible for the death of Hashira Kanae Kocho and Hashira Shinabu.

Even though Azaka is only one rank below him, Azaka stated that Doma is far superior to him. Cryokinesis, the characteristic blood demon art of Doma, is an incredibly dangerous and potent technique.

Doma succumbed to shinou’s poison and died. No one in the series had ever been able to kill Doma in a straightforward fight.

4) Gyomei Himejima

Gyomei is currently the most powerful Hashira. Despite the fact he is blind! As stated by Kokushibo, the Upper moon’s rank one, Hashira is possibly the strongest in 300 years.

Gyomei fights with a chained axe, which gives him greater range than standard sword users and allows him to keep up with Kokushibo, a super-strong swordsman Hashira with decades of expertise wielding a demonic blade.

3) Kokushibo

Muzan transformed Kokushibo, a previous master swordsman and demon slayer named Michikatsu Tsugikuni, into the Upper moon level one.

He is the only demon under Muzan to employ Breathing methods, absolute concentration, and a demon slayer mark in combat.

It required the combined efforts of Sanemi, Gyomei, Muichiro, and Genya, three of whom possessed demon slayer markings, to inflict a single deadly wound on Kokushibo, which he simply shrugs off and continues to fight.

2) Muzan Kibutsuji

Muzan Kibutsuji is the ruler of all demons and their progenitor, having killed innumerable humans and demon slayers. Muzan was a guy whose life purpose was to become the most perfect living creature.

He murdered Tanjiro’s family, converted Nezuko into a demon, and is the only demon capable of transforming people into Demons.

Muzan Kibutsuji is seen single-handedly defeating four Hashira’s with demon slayer marks: Kanao Tsuyuri, Zenitsu Agatsuma, and Inosuke Hashibira. However, this was not enough to defeat the demon king, who quickly turned the tide of the battle by using his thigh whips, permanently injuring Tanjiro’s eye and severing Giyu’s arms.

1) Yoriichi Tsugikuni

Naturally, it is Yoriichi Tsugikuni, also known as the progenitor of all demon slayers, and the only person Muzan feared enough to send shivers down his spine when he spotted some earrings.

Yoriichi was born with the demon slayer mark without its side effect of shortening the demon slayer’s lifespan, and some think he was even sent by the heavens to stop Muzan.

He deftly avoided all of Muzan’s blows and gravely wounded him with a single blow, forcing our demon king to escape by exploding into 1,800 pieces of flesh.

When you consider it, it took the entire demon slayer corps, tens of Hashiras, and even other demons to corner Muzan and barely defeat him in the last arc of demon slayer, but Yoriichi single-handedly defeated the final boss and forced him to leave after a single attack.
