Early Years

Tobit John Brown was born on April 8, 1993 in Hackney, London. In Nigeria, he grew up with two brothers and three sisters in a family with limited resources. Additionally, he was raised in a religious household, and his faith continues to be vital to his success.

As a result of his early love in football, he spent the most of his childhood playing the sport. During this period, he drew inspiration from Manchester United FC, the most renowned football club.

He used to enjoy flight simulators when he was a child. When he attended St. Dominic’s Catholic Primary School from 1997 to 2004, playing these computer games inspired him to desire to become an air traffic controller.

After completing primary school there, he transferred to Bexley Grammar School, where he met Josh, who would also join the Sidemen. They became fast friends and both enjoyed playing games.

After graduating from high school, he attended Coventry University, the largest and fastest-growing college or university in the United Kingdom, and earned an honours degree in computing.

Tobit enrolled in Conventional University in 2011. During the same year, he launched his YouTube channel. Some of his initial uploads featured him creating music with beats that his friend Josh utilised in his gaming movies.

Some of his buddies advised him to cease composing music and begin playing video games, so he did so. The majority of his early streams consisted of him narrating and answering questions over gameplay streams for titles such as FIFA and NBA 2K.

TBJZL, like many of the other members of Sideman, quickly decided that FIFA was his favourite game. After working his way up from the bottom, Tobit met the other members of the Sideman through his friend Josh at the conclusion of 2013.

The four members united at the end of 2013 to establish the group Ultimate Sidemen, which eventually changed its name to “Sideman.
