Stephen Vogt, a former professional baseball catcher from the United States, attended Azusa Pacific University, where he was named to the All-American team and established a number of school records in baseball as an undergraduate.
Vogt was drafted by Tampa Bay in the 12th round of the 2007 NFL Draft. He played for the Tampa Bay Rays, Oakland Athletics, Milwaukee Brewers, San Francisco Giants, Arizona Diamondbacks, and Atlanta Braves in Major League Baseball (MLB).
In his final game with the Oakland Athletics, he hit a home run against the Angels from virtually the same seat in the Oakland Coliseum where he recorded his first career home run and hit nine years earlier. Vogt has announced that he will retire at the conclusion of the 2022 season in September.

At the age of four, Randy Vogt coached Vogt and Danny in Little League and Babe Ruth League. In San Francisco, he recorded some of the best offensive statistics of his career near the close of the season. His batting average was his best since 2014 at this time. Vogt signed a one-year contract with the Arizona Diamondbacks in November 2019. Vogt appeared in 52 games with the Diamondbacks in 2021.
