SK8 the Infinity, a little-known gem in the world of beloved anime, left viewers in awe of the story of two friends helping one another overcome numerous obstacles in the world of roller derby. Their audiences were entertained by Reki and Langa’s improbabilities as these two boys kept on achieving the impossible.
Since the first season of the show has ended, fans have been wondering if or when there will be a second one. There’s more character growth and cool skateboarding goals to be achieved in Season 2. After all.
Everything we know about the second season of SK8 the Infinity can be found here.
Season 2 Premiere Date for SK8 the Infinity
We haven’t heard anything about a release date for the second season yet, but in its place, we’ve received two stage plays and another upcoming project! A new project is coming to SK8 the Infinity, which could lead to a second season.
No details have been provided in the tweet, so we’re keeping our fingers crossed for either a short film, an OVA or the much-anticipated second season.
In Season 2 of Sk8 the Infinity’s Cast
We expect most of the cast from the first season to return, including My Hero Academia’s Tasuku Hatanaka as Reki, Chiaki Kobayashi as Langa, Yasunori Matsumoto as Joe, and One Punch Man voice actor Hikaru Midorikawa as Cherry Blossom, if this special project is a second season.
We’re still awaiting word on the cast, but rest assured that we’ll keep you posted as soon as we get it.
What Is the Storyline of the Animation??
The story revolves around Reki, a skateboarding-obsessed high school sophomore, and Langa, a Canadian exchange student who has just returned to the United States. ‘S’ is the drug of choice for Reiki. The ‘S’ is an underground skateboard competition that is secret and dangerous, without any rules. Competitors enjoy the “hurt” or the heated skirmishes that take place during skateboarding events. Langa, an exchange student with no prior skateboarding experience, is invited by Reki to an “S” competition. A close friendship develops between the two of them and they soon find themselves immersed in the world of “S,” where secret skateboarding competitions are held and excitement is always at an all-time high. To get into the crazy ‘S’ world, Langa must learn how to ride his skateboard.
A young man in the prime of his life, Reki enjoys the highs and lows of being a teenager to the fullest. Langa was born and raised in her father’s hometown in Canada, where she spent her childhood. When her father dies, she and her mother return to this town in Japan, where her mother was born and raised, to pay their respects to her father. With Reki’s help, Langa is able to find a part-time job to help support her mother. While in Canada, Langa, who enjoys snowboarding, discovered skateboarding and has since become a fan. And all of a sudden, he’s thrust into the perilous realm of the S.
I found the final episode of the series to be a truly moving experience. They were overjoyed when Langga leaped over Reki, unaware of his victory, and cheered him on from the sidelines. The kissing scene was eagerly anticipated by many viewers, but the mangaka chose not to include it in the first season; we’ll have to wait and see what the second season has in store.
