Nina Dobrev began her life as Nikolina Konstantinova Dobreva on January 9, 1989, in Sofia, Bulgaria. When she was a young child, her family relocated to Canada. She was brought up in Toronto by her artist mother Michaela Dobreva and her computer specialist father Kamen Dobrev.
Her parents are both named Dobrev. She is the only child of her parents, who gave birth to an older brother named Aleksander Dobrev. Both Vradenburg Junior Public School and J.B.
