Mountain Monsters made a triumphant comeback in January 2021, honouring AIMS founder “Trapper” John Tice with a special season.
It wasn’t until after the season concluded that many began to question whether Tice’s death meant the end of the Mountains.
The good news is that the gang will return for a second season on Travel Channel and Discovery+, which will be streamed live.

Is Mountain Monsters Season 8 on the Way?
After the death of “Trapper” John Tice, there was no news on whether or not there will be another season of Mountain Monsters.
A press statement was put out by the network on December 17, 2021, announcing that the next season of the programme will premiere less than a month after it relocated to Discovery+.
There was no mention of the eighth season of the Discovery programme in the official press release.
Destination America broadcast Mountain Monsters: Season 1 in 2013 and Season 2 in 2014.
Bigfoot Editions of Mountain Monsters was released in 2015 and 2016. Season 5 of Secrets of the Dark Forest premiered in 2017.
A new season, dubbed The Quest for Spearfinger Part 1, was set to premiere in 2019. The Adventures of Trapper, which concluded John Tice’s era on the programme in 2021, allowed viewers to say their last goodbyes.
Tygart Valley Mysteries, the eighth season, will premiere in 2022.
The Most Recent Release Date: When Is the Eighth Season of Mountain Monsters Coming Out?
The return of Mountain Monsters on Discovery+ will occur on December 17, 2021.
on Travel Channel and Discovery+ on January 3, 2022, the eighth season of “Mountain Monsters” will begin airing.
Mountain Monsters will return for a total of ten brand-new episodes, each lasting an hour.
The Cast Members of Mountain Monsters Season 8 Have Been Revealed
Tice, aka “Trapper,” died away in December of this year. Season 7 of Mountain Monsters began with a remembrance episode for Trapper.
There will be a new season of Mountain Monsters with the remaining cast members.
AIMS (Appalachian Investigators of Mystical Sightings) is a group of investigators that venture deep into the Appalachian Mountains to investigate strange sightings.
This is a mixed-species hunting and trapping crew.
For example, there’s Wild Bill Neff and Willy McQuillian, as well as Jeff Headlee and Joseph “Huckleberry” Lott.
Season 8 Spoilers for Mountain Monsters
Mountain Monsters’ next season will include the ghost of “Trapper” John Tice.
The press statement said that “before taking out, the AIMS team get an antique shoeshine box that belonged to their beloved late team leader, Trapper. ” The contents of the box remain a mystery, but an old photograph of Trapper seated next to a Tygart Valley sign leads them to believe there must be more to it. In order to capture Bigfoot, they set off on their journey armed with the box.
A “Cryptozoic creature hotspot unlike any other” is what they find as they arrive.
Trapper may have been onto something all along, and the key to the whole adventure may be within their grasp as they pursue the myriad beasts of the Tygart Valley and create stunning traps.

This Is the First Episode
After returning to the Tygart Valley in search of Bigfoot, the crew sets out on a quest to prove or disprove the existence of this mythical creature. The boys begin going after hearing a rumbling sound in the hills, and they come upon a bizarre tree structure.
It’s Episode 2!
Cow-Killing Bastard — When Buck discovers that the fabled Grafton Monster has made its way to the Tygart Valley, things become interesting for the squad. When they come to discover a mutilated cow, it’s a search for monsters like no other.
The Third Episode Is Here!
When the AIMS team realises that the Grafton Monster is preying on animals, they rush to a nearby cow farm. To find the creature’s most recent victim, they headed out on a night-stalking trip. They encountered an entire massacre.
The Fourth Episode –
As told in “Huckleberry Finn,” Huckleberry explains that he and his family had a very traumatic experience with the Grafton Monster. Later, Jeff puts on his “hillbilly hazmat suit” to do blood tests on an old dog collar. During the night, Buck engages in a brutal fistfight with a group of locals.
5th Episode –
Trapper’s Birthday — The AIMS team meets to celebrate Trapper’s birthday after a wild brawl in the woods. It doesn’t take long for Appalachia’s favourite hillbilly boys to begin experiencing double vision as Huckleberry pulls out his “Squatch Piss.”
6th Episode –
One of the largest known Bigfoot nests in the Tygart Valley is the focus of the team’s investigation when they get a tip from a local hunter. A nighttime expedition with “Cowboy Ken,” a superfan, leads them to their most astounding Bigfoot discovery yet.
The Seventh Episode –
Bigfoot, the Grafton Monster and a band of Smoke Wolves are locked in a turf war as these lethal cryptids fight it out for the territory. The AIMS team finds themselves in the centre of this struggle. As part of his Squatch jerky diet, Wild Bill begs Buck to help him shed his extra baby weight. Searching for the cause of a peculiar rumbling noise, the crew ventures into the Tygart Valley.
The 8th Episode
Rumble in the Hills — When AIMS team member Willy goes missing in the Tygart Valley’s secret hills, the hunt is on for a long-lost brother. When the gang hears gunfire, they uncover something unexpected and have to get Willy out of the woods. During the competition, the guys show off their muscles, flex their biceps, and flaunt their cleavage. Buck is compelled to judge.
The Ninth Instalment of the Series
1984 – After seeing a herd of fleeing cattle and a mangled calf, the AIMS team decides to go on a nocturnal search for Smoke Wolves. They are brought to tears by a terrible narrative from a local guy who recounts the destruction caused to his family by the Smoke Wolves in the Tygart Valley in West Virginia. In the wake of Huckleberry’s revelations, the crew uncovers previously unknown details about Trapper dating all the way back to 1984.
