Manifest Season 4: What Is Its Expected Release Date ?

Since the third season of Manifest ended in June 2021, the season finale left viewers with questions and some nail-biting drama. But not long after the third season ended, NBC said that they wouldn’t be making a fourth season. Die-hard fans of the show were so angry that they started an online petition to get it back. And something that doesn’t happen to TV shows very often happened to Manifest when the network said it would be back for one more season.

In a nutshell, Manifest is the story of Flight 828, a commercial airliner that went missing a few hours into its journey and then turned up with all of its crew and passengers more than five years later, when they were all thought to be dead. The change in time was shown to everyone in the plane by some turbulence. When they get back to their normal lives, they all notice that a lot has changed since they left. Even stranger, the people who came back to Earth start to hear voices in their heads and have visions of things that have never happened before.

What is The plot of Manifest Season 4

Manifest’s season 3 finale had a lot of cliffhangers that will have big effects on the story in the last season.

First, Sarah’s (Lauren Norvelle) father, Jared (J.R. Ramirez), knew that Sarah’s mother, The Major (Elizabeth Marvel), had died because of Saanvi (Parveen Kaur). After killing Eden, we also saw Angelina (Holly Taylor) leave with Grace (Athena Karkanis). At the same time, police arrested and took away both Randall (Christopher Piccione) and Eagan (Ali Lopez-Sohaili). Cal (Jack Messina), on the other hand, just vanished into thin air after touching the tail of Flight 828.

There was also Captain Daly’s sudden return and disappearance (Frank Deal). When TV Insider asked show creator Jeff Rake about Captain Daly, he said, “Whether it’s purgatory or the netherworld, these are words and ideas that Ben and others will find hard to understand.” He continues, “Let’s put it this way: During those five and a half years, Captain Daly was exactly where the passengers were as a group. Captain Daly has been right where Cal was from the end of Episode 312, when he left, until the end of the season finale, when he came back. When we come back in season four, Cal will explain where that place is.”

The last season will look at how all of these stories affect each other and a lot more. Even though he didn’t get the six seasons he wanted, Rake is still happy with where the show is now. He goes on to tell EW, “The endgame won’t change at all.” “I’m sure that 20 episodes will give me enough time to tell the whole story the way I always planned to,” he said.

Who Should We Be Seeing in Manifest Season 4?

Series is what Melissa Roxburgh, who plays Michaela Stone, and Josh Dallas, who plays Ben Stone, have signed contracts for the last season. J.R. Ramirez is also expected to join them. Contract talks are still going on with Parveen Kaur, Jack Messina, and Luna Blaise, who plays Olive Stone. Matt Long, who plays Zeke Landon, is also in talks. Long’s future on the show is uncertain because he is currently working on the NBC drama Getaway, which could cause a scheduling conflict. “Some of it will bring me back. We’re just trying to figure out what I can do the most of, “Long said.

He kept going, “I really like the show’s character, but as you know, when the show was canceled, I signed up for another show. It was a test run. We still don’t know what is going on. Also, it’s a really cool project. So, we’re just trying to make plans. Everyone wants the best for everyone else, so let’s hope everything works out well.”

Expected Release Date Of  Manifest Season 4

Netflix said in August 2021 that the fourth and final season of Manifest will be available to stream on their site. This is because the show did so well on Netflix and because fans started online petitions to save it. The fourth season will have 20 episodes, but they won’t all come out at once on the streaming service. It will instead be broken up into two or more parts. Jeff Rake wants the book to come out in November 2022, but nothing is set in stone yet.

Netflix has Season 4 of The Road to Manifest

Before we look ahead, let’s take a look at how Netflix got to season 4 of Manifest.

In the first episode of Manifest, which aired on NBC in 2018, Flight 828 took off. The show was so good that it was the ninth most-watched show on NBC that season. Even though the number of viewers had dropped a lot over time, NBC gave the show a second and third season order.

On average, 12.61 million people watched season 1, but by the time season 3 began, that number had dropped by more than half.

The writing was on the wall for Manifest in the summer of 2021. This is when the timeline with Netflix starts.

After the last episode of Manifest’s third season aired on June 10, 2021, NBC decided to end the show. Warner Brothers Television, which owns most of the show, gave Netflix the rights to seasons 1 and 2 on June 10, 2021. This was likely a last-ditch effort to get the show more attention.

Once the first two seasons of the show were available on Netflix in both the US and Canada, it took off. The fact that the show stayed in Netflix’s top 10s for weeks was the first sign that people were interested in it.

As of September 17, 2021, the show has been in the top 10 in both the US and Canada for a total of 94 days.

Even though this has been disputed, many articles said that Manifest was the most popular show in the US during the summer. This was enough to start talks about bringing the show back.

Since the show came back, Netflix has said that between June 27 and September 12, at least 214,520,000,000 hours were spent watching seasons 1-3 just in the United States and Canada.

After going back and forth for weeks and months (and Deadline letting people know that talks were still going on), a deal was finally made, and a supersized final season will start on August 28, 2021.

The third season was added to Netflix in the United States on August 21, 2021, and Canada soon after.

An in-depth article from The Hollywood Reporter gives more information about why the show was canceled and why it was brought back. It also says that 25 million people had watched the show on Netflix within 28 days.

When Netflix thought about renewing, it was important to get the global rights and make sure that the cast could come back even though most of their contracts had ended.
