‘jeopardy!’ Champion Amy Schneider Married ? Amy Also Shared Her Wedding Snaps on Twitter

Amy Schneider, the winner of Jeopardy, announced on September 27 that she married Genevieve Davis, her 25-year-old fiancee, on May 9. In Oakland, California, the pair wed in a “little private ceremony at the Alameda County Recorder.”

Amy, 43, recently shared the good news with her followers on her social media pages, along with photos from the couple’s wedding, despite the fact that they tied the knot months ago.

They “couldn’t wait that long to declare [their] love and devotion to each other,” according to the Jeopardy champion. Next summer, the couple will still have a traditional wedding and reception.

“My friend was chatting on the phone with her boyfriend while hanging out at my apartment, and somehow she ended up bringing her boyfriend’s sister over for a ride somewhere. This sister was revealed to be Genevieve.”

She initially became friends with “adorable” Genevieve, and they began to hang out together. Genevieve disputed the rumour, stating that she is “straight,” despite widespread suspicion that they were “dating” due to their close relationship.

However, Amy believed the friendship would develop into a love one. In reference to her relationship with Genevieve, she told The Los Angeles Times:

“I always maintained optimism. I enjoyed spending time with her. I enjoyed that we didn’t have to entertain each other the entire time and that we didn’t have to talk the entire time. It was acceptable for us to zone out on our phones or do whatever else.”

In February 2021, seven months after their initial meeting, they fell in love and began dating. Amy disclosed to The New York Times:

This is the second serious relationship I’ve had in my lifetime. When I met the woman who would become my wife, I had never even kissed a person; I was 25 at the time.

In February 2022, after a year of dating, the couple were engaged. Amy tweeted the good news alongside a photo of their left hands wearing solitaire engagement rings.

The pair planned their engagement. They determined that Genevieve would propose to Amy in February, around Valentine’s Day and the anniversary of their relationship.

But Genevieve decided to surprise Amy by proposing on an unplanned day, utterly taking Amy off guard. Genevieve expressed to The Los Angeles Times:

“When she walked in, I was on one knee, and she panicked. The video is truly hilarious.”

Approximately one week later, Amy proposed to Genevieve during a formal anniversary dinner in Sonoma.

The couple ultimately exchanged their vows on May 9 in a modest ceremony. During their wedding vows, the bride and groom donned simple white outfits and floral headpieces.
