Esposito was diagnosed with Celiac Disease during the third season of “Blue Bloods.” After she fainted on the set of the television show, her doctor suggested she cut her work hours to better manage her condition. Instead of working with Jennifer to arrange a schedule that would be more conducive to her health, the “Blue Bloods” creators decided to write Jennifer out of the show.
