How Did Padme Die in Star Wars? What Was the Reasons Behind Updated News!

Although there are many differing viewpoints in the Star Wars world, the prequel trilogy films may have been better. One of their numerous flaws was the poorly written dialogue and plot lines, exemplified by Anakin Skywalker and Padmé Amidala’s forbidden romantic relationship. This friendship would ultimately prove fatal for Padmé.

Young love

Padmé and Anakin meet in The Phantom Menace when Padmé’s ship crashes on Tatooine while attempting to flee her illegitimately occupied home world of Naboo. Padmé is 14 years old and the queen of Naboo, while Anakin is 9 years old and a slave. Ankin assists her in repairing her ship by winning a perilous podrace. In Attack of the Clones, ten years later, they meet again. Padmé is now a Senator and Anakin a Padawan.

When Padmé is attacked, Anakin is tasked with defending her. While hiding out on Naboo, a mutual desire develops between the two, despite the fact that they are aware of the prohibition. When they are sentenced to death on the planet Geonosis by the Separatist leader and Sith Lord Count Dooku, they profess their emotions for one another.

Near-death experiences have a propensity to reveal the truth. They are saved by Yoda, Mace Windu, and the Clone Army, but they cannot retract their expressions of genuine emotion. They are secretly married.

Love’s Dark Side

In Revenge of the Sith, Anakin discovers his hidden wife, Padmé, is pregnant. Anakin develops terrifying nightmares about Padmé’s death during childbirth. Anakin fears that these nightmares portend future events and feels unable to stop it.

He cannot lose Padmé like his mother was gone. Senator Palpatine, who is truly the Sith Lord Darth Sidious, has been secretly grooming Anakin and uses this vulnerable moment to convert him into his pupil Darth Vader, assuring him that the dark side of the force will help him save Padmé.

Padmé cannot believe this betrayal, so she secretly journeys to Mustafar with Obi-Wan to witness it for herself. Padmé begs Anakin to cease his destructive conduct and accompany her in order to raise their kid in peace. When Anakin confesses his intention to overthrow Darth Sidious and rule the galaxy with Padmé, she recognises that he has succumbed to the dark side and become Darth Vader.

Darth Vader feels betrayed by Padmé as Obi-Wan exposes himself and places her in a chokehold. She is released by Darth Vader to fight Obi-Wan. Obi-Wan engages in combat with Darth Vader, leaves him for dead, and rescues Padmé, transporting her to the hidden asteroid base Polis Massa.

The Points of the Death Plot Explanation

Padmé has to die to fit in with the previously released films from the original trilogy. It would have been good to see this incorporated more seamlessly into the plot. Before giving birth to the twins on Polis Massa, she is certified medically well but has lost the will to life.

She dies shortly after giving birth to twins, but not before warning Obi-Wan that Darth Vader retains some redeeming qualities. It is difficult to think that a lady who had devoted her life to the democratic Galactic Republic, had so much fight left in her, and still held out hope for her husband would suddenly give up, abandon her children, and die of a broken heart.

Fan Theories Regarding Padmé’s Death

There are numerous fan theories that attempt to rectify this poorly constructed conclusion. One story holds that the force choke hold Darth Vader applied to Padmé during their fight on Mustafar contributed to her death. The problem is that the medical droid proclaims her healthy shortly thereafter. Others speculate that there was actually problems from childbirth, but she was again deemed healthy.

According to another sad interpretation, Darth Sidious’ knowledge of midichlorians gave him the ability to grant life and preserve a life. He employed Padmé’s vitality to save Darth Vader. This confirms Vader’s prophetic dreams that Padmé will die during childbirth and solidifies Darth Vader’s position on the evil side as the single perpetrator. If Darth Sidious ever revealed this to Darth Vader, it would feed his hatred and elevate his stature as a dark lord. This idea also implies that Padmé contributed to Anakin’s transformation to the dark side. This viewpoint provides greater insight into Padmé’s demise.

The Conclusion

One of the reasons why the Star Wars universe is so popular is that fans can make their own conclusions and hypotheses regarding the galaxy. While Padmé’s death was simply stated as that of a woman with a broken heart who lost the will to live, it may have been kept intentionally ambiguous to allow viewers to give their own interpretation and become a part of the saga of a galaxy far, far away.
