Immigration has been a contentious issue in the United States since the 1970s, and it is likely to remain so until at least 2021. One of CBS’s most compelling crime dramas, “Coyote,” airs on Paramount+.
As a “coyote” for a Mexican drug cartel, Michael Chiklis plays veteran Border Patrol agent Ben Clemens, who is smuggling illegal immigrants in and out of the United States. In Season 1, Ben accomplished things he never thought he’d be able to accomplish. Despite the fact that he had joined a drug gang, his new allies never had full faith in him — and they had good reason to be suspicious.
As of January 7, 2021, viewers have been following Ben’s antics in Coyote since its premiere. The second season of “Coyote” has so far only been speculated upon.
Coyote’s” second season has yet to be confirmed by CBS as of June 14, 2021. The first season premiered more than six months ago. Because he’s so eager to return to “Coyote,” Michael Chiklis has been tweeting since the show debuted in Season 1.
It’s more likely that “Coyote” will be renewed than the average TV show. After the network renamed The Hollywood Reporter to Paramount+, it became one of the network’s most popular shows immediately. For the first time, CBS All Access will be the exclusive home for “Coyote,” which was originally scheduled for release on Paramount Network. (Source: The Wrap) CBS All Access was relaunched as Paramount+ on March 4, 2020.
In transferring actors like Michael Chiklis, from “The Shield,” “No Ordinary Family,” and “Coyote,” CBS demonstrated their intention for “Coyote” to serve as an anchor series on Paramount+. “Coyote” would be the first show to be canceled by CBS after only one season on its streaming service unless it was a genuine disappointment.
Second-season Cast of the Coyote
CBS has yet to confirm whether or not “Coyote” will be returning for a second season, which means that season 2 anticipation is premature. The second season of “Coyote” is expected to feature at least one new character, like many other television shows. It’s not yet clear who this person is or who will portray them.
If he weren’t there, the show wouldn’t have any point. Juan Diego “El Catrin” Zamora, the Mexican drug cartel’s leader, is almost certain to return. There is no doubt that Kristyan Ferrer and Octavio Pisano will reprise their roles as Dante and Sultan in the upcoming season. Both Silvia, the owner of a neighborhood taqueria, and Holly Vincent, an agent with the Department of Homeland Security, are expected to make cameo appearances in the film.
Season 2 of Coyote Is Now Available on Netflix!
Season 2 of “Coyote” is still in its infancy, so it’s impossible to learn anything about the show’s plot from casting announcements or promotional efforts. Due to the cliffhanger at the end of Season 1 of “Coyote,” we are only left with Season 1.
At the conclusion of Season 1, the CIA was intrigued by Ben’s involvement with the Zamora cartel. In the season finale, he presented himself as an agency informant. Season 2 may begin with Ben in a web that includes the cartel. CIA and US Border Patrol colleagues, among others. For her part, Mara has shown that Ben is willing to sacrifice his sense of justice in order to help others. To help her cross the border illegally.
For Ben’s own safety, he’ll likely become a CIA informant. The second season of “Coyote” will make surviving even more difficult. Season 1 of Coyote is now available to stream via Amazon Prime.
