There’s still a long way to go until you see “Black Adam” in the theatre, so don’t get your hopes up too high. Despite DC’s long-term plans for the character’s big-screen debut, the path to a theatrical release has been anything but straight. As a result of the “Justice League’s” massive failure, the DCEU has reevaluated how it approaches its cinematic universe. As holiday treats for DC moviegoers everywhere, “Black Adam” was initially slated to enter theatres on December 22, 2021. However, the COVID-19 pandemic delayed its filming schedule, resulting in a new release date of Oct 21, 2022, like many other entertainment enterprises. Since then, Warner Bros. has pushed back ” Black Adam ” due to an overall reshuffling in release schedules for big films, including the megastar himself (via Deadline). A release date for “Black Adam” has not yet been announced.
Who Is Going to Play Black Adam in the Movie
Dwayne, “The Rock” Johnson, will star in “Black Adam,” but we’re sure you already knew that because, well, Mr. Johnson has been rather vocal about wanting to play the character since first circling it back in 2014, so we won’t go into detail here. When it came to universe-building, DC and Warner Bros.’
In anticipation of his role in the film, actor Dwayne Johnson has been teasing fans via Instagram about his training regimen for the film. He appears to be growing even more buff than usual for the film. Like Johnson’s “Black Adam,” Hasty attempts to catch up” undoubtedly impeded the development of other DC products. Since “Wonder Woman,” “Aquaman,” and “Shazam!” helped the DC Extended Universe get off the ground, Johnson will now be able to present “Black Adam” to comic book moviegoers everywhere.
Warner Bros. has no intention of introducing Zachary Levi’s Billy Batson-Shazam into the equation just yet—and Levi himself has suggested that the two opponents likely won’t meet battle until ‘Shazam 3’.
In addition to Johnson, the cast includes both well-known actors and fresh faces. It has been announced that Noah Centineo will portray Atom Smasher, Pierce Brosnan will portray Dr. Fate, Aldis Hodge will portray Hawkman, Quintessa Swindell will portray Cyclone, and Sarah Shahi will portray Veronica Tomaz, a critical comic book character. It is yet to be announced what role each of the “Young Rock” cast members, Uli Latukefu, Bodhi Sabongui, Mohammed Amer, James Cusati-Moyer, and Marwan Kenzari, will play.
What Is Black Adam’s Story?

We may learn more about the “Black Adam” movie’s plot in time, but DC and Warner Bros are keeping a low-key approach to this portion of the production.
Some aspects can be deducted before any formal announcements about “Black Adam,” despite without knowing what Team DC has in store for the film. Firstly, it’s important to note that “Black Adam” will be the character’s DCEU debut. In this sense, “Black Adam” is a foregone conclusion as an origin myth. Black Adam is already a well-established superhuman in the film’s fictional universe that Johnson discussed during the DC Fandom 2021 event. Even while this footage shows Black Adam waking up, it’s possible that the movie could leap back in time after its opening scene to establish the character’s conception.
According to Johnson’s words, the actor will focus more on Black Adam’s antiheroic traits than his evil ones in the upcoming film (via ScreenRant). Shazam or Superman might be in for an exciting confrontation when he finally meets up with him on the big screen.
